The Lawrence Public Library is gearing up for its big fall book sale later this month.
Two years after its last three-day sale, LPL Friends & Foundation is ready to welcome buyers again safely from October 22-24.
A team of volunteers have spent thousands of hours processing new donations and will have shelves filled with more than 60,000 items, according to a press release from the foundation.
Masks will be mandatory inside and 30 buyers at a time will be allowed inside. However, 10 early risers can reserve their spot by visiting LPLFF.org; other appointments are first come, first served. No appointment is necessary for outdoor shopping. Further details of the sale are available online at lplks.org/friendsfoundation/.
All books, CDs, and DVDs are priced at $ 2 or less. All proceeds from the sale support the library’s programs and services.
Selling hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on October 22 and 23 and noon to 4 p.m. on October 24.
