BARNESVILLE — The Barnesville Hutton Memorial Library congratulates readers who participated in “Oceans of Possibilities” this summer.

The Summer Reading Program continues to be a huge success year after year, thanks to the many children and the dedicated parents, grandparents and caregivers.

This year, we saw 156 children actively participate in the program and read nearly 5,000 books.

The Children’s Department provided weekly storytimes at Barnesville Park, various presenters and special programs.

The library would also like to give a “to yell” to young adult and adult readers who have participated in activities and programs.

Highlights of the summer included: a program presented by the Belmont County Farm Bureau, Ice Cream Party/Craft Day, Manatees Matter presented by Daniel Caron, a water balloon for librarians, games, reading coupons and treats from Mcdonalds, Dominos, prizes, books. a-ways, and the final nights at Chestnut Lanes and Barnesville Pool.
