Camilla set up the Duchess of Cornwall’s Reading Room on Instagram in January after her playlists became popular during the lockdown in 2020. Tom Parker Bowles is the author of seven cookbooks and a Guild of Food Writers award winner in 2010.

The Duchess of Cornwall’s Reading Room Instagram account revealed the collaboration in a post on Tuesday.

The post read: “Over the next few weeks we will be featuring a selection of food writers who have been handpicked by His Royal Highness, with the help of his son, writer and food critic, Tom Parker Bowles.

“We cordially invite Tom into the reading room to share with us his love of the art of great culinary writing and to introduce us to some of his favorite writers.”

Stephen Fry said in the Instagram video: “When I was about seven I started reading for fun, I remember that feeling when there was a story in the middle of which it was under my pillow , or it was by the bed or in a particular corner where I sat and read.

“I could always go and it was a refuge, no matter how miserable I was, my friends didn’t like me or I couldn’t play a game, if I was in a bad mood, whatever what it was.”

He added: “This private refuge of reading was soon the most important part of my life. It was a place where I could always be happy and safe.
