Here’s How Many Jack Reacher Books There Are
Lee Child has written 26 amazing novels for the Jack Reach series, published between 1997 and 2021.
First child’s novel slaughter area – released in 1997 – won the Anthony Award, the Barry Award and the Japan Adventure Fiction Association Prize.
Author’s 27 Jack Reach novel, No plan Bwill be released this year on October 25, 2022 – co-written with his younger brother, Andrew Child.
Meet Lee Child
James Dover Grant, known professionally as Lee Child, is a British author best known for his Jack Reach series.
The pen name of the author was created from a family joke and the child ended up writing slaughter area on a simple pencil and paper after losing his job at 40.
In January 2020, it was announced by Child that he would be retiring from writing the Jack Reach series, leaving the reins to his brother, Andrew Grant, who would write under the pen name, Andrew Child.
Andrew will co-write with his brother on upcoming projects, before the writer takes on the entire series himself.

The author makes an appearance in Amazon’s Reacher
Lee Child has a subtle appearance in the latest episode of the To reach series, titled Tart.
During the dinner scene, Reacher (Alan Ritchson) walks towards Finlay before another man passes him. The man apologizes and gets a curious look from Reacher before leaving and the boss is none other than Lee Child.
Fans were already expecting the author to make an appearance on the Amazon series, having achieved the same feat in the Tom Cruise films.
