Nancy Carol Roberts Memorial Library

The Nancy Carol Roberts Memorial Library always has applications available for the “Dolly Parton Imagination Library Program”.

The Imagination Library program was started by the famous country singer in her hometown in 1995. The goal is to send free, high-quality books to children, regardless of family income.

The program has since expanded to include the entire United States, as well as Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and the Republic of Ireland. In 2020, they gave away their 150 millionth book.

The Imagination Library program, along with donations collected by the Brenham High School National Honor Society, provides a free book each month to enrolled children from birth to four years old who live in the 77833 zip code.

Anyone interested in enrolling a child or learning more about the program should contact the Nancy Carol Roberts Memorial Library at 979-337-7201, or visit the program’s website at www.imaginationlibrary.com.
