West Tisbury Library is hosting an online book conference with thriller Jenny Milchman on Wednesday, September 16 at 4:30 p.m. Milchman will discuss his recently published book, “The Second Mother”. This is a live event that will meet on Zoom.
Milchman is Mary Higgins Clark’s award-winning USA Today bestselling author of five psychological thrillers. According to a press release from the library, his work has been praised by The New York Times, The Associated Press, The New York Journal of Books, The San Francisco Review of Books, and others. Milchman’s novels are all set in the fictional Adirondack town of Wedeskyull, but in her latest she relocates to a small island off the coast of Maine. With the release of her first novel, she packed her family, “driving school” her children as she and her husband visited bookstores, libraries and book clubs across the United States. looking forward to going virtual and meeting new readers on another coastal island, the statement said.
In “The Second Mother,” main character Julie Weathers isn’t sure if she’s running away or starting over again, but moving to a remote island off the coast of Maine seems good for someone who has reason to flee her old life. .
