Online book of condolence for victims of Creeslough tragedy opened by Kilkenny cathaoirleach

An online condolence book has been opened for the citizens of Kilkenny to express their condolences to the families of the victims and the community of Creeslough, Donegal.

Cathaoirleach of Kilkenny County Council Pat Fitzpatrick opened on behalf of the elected members of Kilkenny County Council offering his deepest condolences to the families and community of Creeslough at this very sad and tragic time.

“It was a tragic weekend for the people of Creeslough, Donegal and for all of Ireland. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of those who have suffered such a tragic loss and the community of Creeslough,” said he declared.

“On behalf of the people of the City and County of Kilkenny, I send my condolences to all and congratulate the emergency services and volunteers who worked so hard over the weekend in the rescue operation.”

Meanwhile, Mayor David Fitzgerald also opened a book of condolences yesterday, which will be in situ at City Hall for the next few days.

People can contribute to the book of condolences online via the Council’s website at kilkennycoco.ie until Monday 17 October 2022. All messages from the book will be printed and presented to the Creeslough community.
