It was the tragic and heartbreaking affair that shocked the nation and moved people to tears.

Arthur Labinjo-Hughes was abused, tortured and dehumanized by his evil stepmother Emma Tustin and then murdered.

In a distressing sound played in court, Arthur can be heard shouting that “nobody loves me” and that “nobody is going to feed me”.

CCTV footage of him has also been released showing the tragic Arthur struggling to tidy his quilt after sleeping in a living room hours before his death.

He was so frail he could barely pick up his bedding from the living room floor – where he slept in a house in Cranmore Road, Shirley.

Tustin then inflicted a fatal attack on Arthur last June.



Twisted Tustin was today (Friday, December 3) sentenced to life imprisonment and ordered to serve a minimum sentence of 29 years.

The 32-year-old man, who was also found guilty of several counts of child cruelty after a nine-week trial.

Arthur’s father, Thomas Hughes, was cleared of the murder but found guilty of manslaughter and sentenced to 21 years.
