Steeleville Area Public Library May Events


May is Amnesty Month at the Steeleville Public Library! Bring in your books late and the library will waive the fines.

The library is hiring. Applications are available at the loan office.

Here is the schedule of library events:

• April 30, 10am-1pm: Star Wars Disney Day

• Mondays from 3pm to 6pm: every Monday is match day. If you want to participate in an ongoing Dungeons and Dragons campaign, ask Drake for details.

• May 7, 10 a.m.-1 p.m.: Sale of books at the library

• May 7, 10 a.m.-1 p.m.: Curbside crafts

• May 16, 7 p.m.: Board of Directors

• May 18, 3 p.m.: teen advisory council meeting

• May 23: Start of registration for the summer reading program. Collect your reading logs and news packets all week.

• May 25, 4 p.m.: Book club

May 30: Library closed for Memorial Day

1,000 books before kindergarten

• 600 Pounds: Mollie Smith, 1 year old, daughter of Sean and Heather Smith of Wine Hill.
