What a summer at the White Pine District Library! The summer reading program is over, except for the last super special story hour which will take place on August 16 for all children up to second grade.

Everyone had fun this summer. From the reading challenge to art week to programs galore – we had it all! But the fun never really stops at the White Pine District Library!

Stop by and buy a telescope to share with your family, keep reading for the “Just Keep Reading” challenge, check out books, magazines, movies, games, puzzles and more. And if you’re just looking for a cool place to relax and read, play with your kids, or hook up to a computer to print out some documents, we’re the place to visit.

We also have late summer and fall programs such as the One Book/One County program closing on September 20th. as well as our annual Taste the Bounty celebration by the Seed Library on the same date.

We have our huge fall book sale on September 15, 16 and 17. Weekly and monthly programs continue, such as book discussion groups, line dancing, Fiber Friends and our advice on your device.

At 6:30 p.m. on August 25, our Seed Library group will meet with anyone who would like ideas on how to finish their gardens this fall. Please call to register for “Harvest Hints” at (989) 831-4327.
