MACAO, December 29 – Thanks to a wide variety of books and periodicals on its platform, the online bookstore of the Bureau of Cultural Affairs (IC) allows local and foreign readers to easily select and purchase the publications of IC, to promote reading. In order to provide more stable and convenient services, the Online Bookstore will be subject to regular website maintenance from December 30, 2021 to January 4, 2022. During this period, the service will be suspended.

With the public’s enthusiastic response to the Christmas promotion, IC will extend this special offer until January 16, 2022 in appreciation of readers’ support. Readers can take advantage of a 20% discount on all books for any order form via the online bookstore.

IC offers more than 300 types of books and periodicals on the online bookstore, including publications in Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Portuguese and English, with a rich and diverse range of categories, such as History, Literature, visual arts, performing arts, culture, and university research and studies. The website supports electronic payment using a stable and efficient system. Readers in Macau and overseas can request delivery of publications via the Macau Post and Telecommunications Bureau’s Express Mail Service (EMS) to their designated locations. Local readers can also choose to pick up their books at IC’s 13 public libraries (located on the Macau Peninsula, Taipa and Coloane) in person.
