The North Olympic Library System offers online book discussion groups

PORT ANGELES – The North Olympic Library System will continue its online book discussion groups throughout December.

Participants must register on www.nols.org to receive the link to the free Zoom meetings.

• The second Tuesday book discussion group will meet at 11 am on Tuesday, December 8 to discuss “The Overstory” by Richard Powers.

Paperback copies are available for curbside pickup at the Port Angeles Library.

In January, the group will discuss “Brooklyn” by Colm Toibin.

• The second Saturday Book Discussion Group will meet at 3 pm on Saturday December 12 to discuss “Mozart’s Starling” by Lyanda Lynn Haupt.

Paperback copies are available for curbside pickup at the Sequim Library.

The group will discuss “The Sympathizer” by Viet Thanh Nguyen in January.

• The Novel Conversations focus group will meet on Wednesday December 16 at 4:00 pm to talk about “The Friend” by Sigrid Nunez.

Paperback copies are available for curbside pickup at the Sequim Library.

The group plans to discuss “The Toss of a Lemon” by Padma Viswanathan in January.

• The Wednesday Night Book Discussion Group will meet at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, December 16 to discuss “The Home Place: Memoirs of a Colored Man’s Love Affair with Nature” by J. Drew Lanham.

Paperback copies are available for curbside pickup at the Port Angeles Library.

Their January selection is “A Gentleman in Moscow” by Amor Towles.
